Re: Champion 7FC conversion
Once upon a time there was an STC for this conversion. Here is what I found. Summary of Federal Aviation administrat. Supplemental Type Certificates. January 1998 American Champion Aircraft Corp. Aircraft Make Model & T.C. NO. = 7FC T.C. A-759 STC NO. = SA374GL Description. = Remove Tri-cycle la...

Re: Aeronca parts manual?
I did a total rebuild of my 7AC Champ from 1988 to 1997 that had already been converted to a 7DC. I put in new spars, new struts, all new nuts and bolts , a different engine and just about everything else. Being my airplane is 50 feet from my house I went out to see what the size the wing bolts are....

Re: Brackett BA-154 filter
Paul,
No I do not have 337 on a Brackett BA-154.
Question: What airplane uses a BA-154?
I have looked at Aircraft Spruce, Wicks, Univair, Wag Aero and Chief. Nobody has a BA-154.
I finally downloaded Brackett Aero Filters Inc. Catalog. Not listed.

Hey Mike,
Hope you have thick skin, because with both a Champ & a Chief your going
to get hit from both sides from those dishing it out. Ha.

Re: Lousy weather
Mike, Don't hit your self too hard. I've been here all winter and I haven't flown my Champ since November. I have flown, but not the Champ. Our runway gets plowed right down to the grass so ski's don't work, and I have about 300 feet to plow by truck or blow by a walk behind blower, which isn't any ...

Re: Headliner & interior
I installed an Airtex Off-White two-way stretch Vinyl headliner in my Champ. I also did the Skylight and the Extended Baggage, so I ordered a Citabria Headliner and an extra yard of headliner material. Being it was one of the first things I put into my Champ, I rolled the fueslage upside down and la...

My neighbor flew his Champ yesterday morning and I flew mine yesterday afternoon.
Clear sky and very light wind. Just wonderful.

Re: Strum, Wisconsin
Mike,
Thanks for a very nice fly-in. The pancakes were huge. Filled the whole plate.
Nice weather, smooth flights, and I even sat across from a nice couple that knew some of the same people I do, and we live over 100 miles apart. Small world.
Thanks again,

Re: Manufacturing - How'd they Build Our Airplanes?
Mike,
You have seen my Champ, and I did not used an envelope.
I covered the bottom of the fuselage first, and then sewed two pieces
of fabric together and laid the sewn seam on one of the top stringers.
Yes, you can see it, but you almost have to know it's there to see it.

Re: Buzz Wagner STC for O-235 Engine on a Aeronca 7AC
You might want to try this. It worked in 2010. Cole Wagner Clark, SD phone # 605-532-3862 Mod's to the fuselage. Install Champion 2-950 fuselage reinforcements on right and left side OR weld in 4130 chrome moly tubing 1/2" OD by .035 in same location. Clamp on Dorsal Fin -Specification # 618 is...
