7EC Windshield alternative
I have 7-EC s.n. 770 A 1963 and I believe the last one built before American Champion resurected the 7EC. i am being quoted ~$700 for a new windshield. Is there any alternative to this? Seems I remember something about a flat vs bubble windshield or short vs long or something. A Citabria ws is only ...

Re: fuselage wing fitting location
I'm installing and rigging the wings after rebuilding. No damage to the fuselage and the angle of incidence is fine once I figured it out.

Re: fuselage wing fitting location
Jeff, Unless the fuselage has been damaged this point can't be easily changed. Level the plane on the longitudinal axis and use this point to get the measurement to the fittings. You should be able to make a triangle from the points and with a little math figure for the angle. Or zero a smart level...

fuselage wing fitting location
How do I check my fuselage fittings vertical location to determine if they are correct? Im other words whether wing angle of incidence will be correct. Should they be the same height with the fuselage in a level attitude?
It is a 63 7EC
Thanks!

free rear windows
I mistakenly ordered 11ac rear windows instead of the 7 series I needed. WagAero does not accept returns of these--apparently made to order. I will send these to anyone who needs them for shipping cost. Only condition is you are going to use them, not try to sell or stockpile them for future use. Fi...

7ec CHT probe type
Do I need a type J or type K CHT probe for my 63 7EC? It should be the bayonet type not the spark plug gasket one. As far as I can tell there is no maker's name on the gauge and I don't have the old probe.

rear fuel line routing
I have a 63 7EC with the 13 gal. wing tanks. I didn't disassemble the plane so don't have the benefit of knowing how it was originally routed from the rear fuel pickup to the rear manifold. Specifically, does the line go between the wing root and fuselage (very tight clearance with the aileron pulle...

Re: four nutplates under floorboard
Thanks David. Mine is a 63 also so that seems like a good possibility. I am putting in a toe brake conversion that has the brake cylinders on the front rudder pedals so I won't need these if that's the case.

four nutplates under floorboard
My 7EC has a rectangular steel frame around 4 X 5 in. with four nutplates. There is one on each side between the outboard front seat mounts (closer to the back one). My old floor boards have a D shaped cutout roughly corresponding to this. I have pictures but I'm not sure it is possible to post them...

Re: Roll-up Hangar Doors
I just installed Fold Tite Stacker doors on my new hangar and am pleased with them. They can be mounted inside if snow and ice are a problem. Cost around $4,000 if I recall.

prop for O235 C2C conversion
I'm installing a Lyc. O235c2C on my 7EC. I have a chance to buy a McCauley 1A105 SCM 7153. This is the original prop from a Grumman AA1 which is what my engine is from. The STC says to use an "appropriate" prop to the engine so clearly I could use this prop. My question has to do with the ...

7EC dual heaters?
My 63 7EC that I got as a basket case seems to have two heater inlets on the firewall--one with a 2" hose and one with a 3" hose. Is one for the back seat or what?

rear fuel manifold location
Can anyone tell me where the rear fuel manifold goes on my 63 7EC with 26 gal. wing tanks. The book parts book is not detailed enough to show exactly where it goes. It mounts with an AN742 clamp so it would seem it goes on one of the fuselage tubes, but where?
