Christopher,
I have a couple of NOS prewar landing gear legs stored in my attic but I'll need a picture of your gear. You'll have to wait a bit because it will take a bit of time to dig.

Re: I miss reading lot of daily posts
Brink, I'm with you about this site. Joe Abrahamson put in a lot of blood sweat and tears on this site. It's still full of many important bits of knowledge. I don't watch the site like I should. It's still a gold mine of aviation fun and knowledge. It might seem old-fashioned but, really, aren't we ...

West Virginia Floods - is Bill Pancake OK?
Guys,
With all of the news, I wonder if Bill is OK. It seems that the flooding is well southwest of where he lives but the news cycle can crowd out other important news.
Does anyone know?
Wishing the best for Bill and his family.

I was 10 x $8.90 but I just can't let Joe out do me!
So, I match his $100 with my very own Benjamin.

Re: Contact information for Glenn Miller in Calfornia
Well, I think that Glenn has tried calling me but my phone is not very cooperative. I've tried calling his phone number but seems always busy.
Hopefully, I'll get a chance to talk with him soon.

Re: I miss reading lot of daily posts
I agree that this website is still one of two best places for things Aeronca. I've alway felt that John Rodkey's Fearless Aeronca Aviators was great for friendly conversation and Joe's work makes this place best for technical subjects, maintenance, repair, buy and sell and the latest on the National...

Re: Spars - Wood or Metal
Hangrash, I can attest to the ride difference in a Super Cub metal spar and a KCAB with a wood spar. I used to tow gliders and switch among four, sometimes five planes a day. While the Super Cub and the Citabria aren't a fully direct comparison. They are both semi-cantilevered tube-and-fabric airpla...

The latest Aeronca Aviator
On pages 12 and 13 of the October 2014 Aeronca Aviator shows drawing 3-486 from the American Champion. Note #6 lists the Aviation Products tailwheel as a choice for most of the 7 and 11 series Aeroncas. These tailwheels cost in the mid $200's, saving us some serious money. Getting information like t...
