One more thing. The install includes two 12V receptacles on the extreme left and right of the instrument panel which I use to run the Airmap 600 GPS and ICS off the Gill battery without having to bother with replacing or recharging AAs or 9V. Very convenient.

I think the USAF flight manual for the L-16A says 12 usable. I assume the 13 gal boot tank did not change from the 7AC to the 7BCM.

I'm conservative and flight plan for 12 usable.

Flew it Sat and Sun for a total of 2.6 hours. Climbed to 5500' w/ oil temp to 205 deg. I think we followed all the advice to the letter.

Will repeat this weekend after an oil change.

115 mph indicated in cruise is a hoot. A-75 w/ climb prop. Air was super smooth.

Anybody have any experience with this product? (plastic protectors for prop leading edges)

If it actually works, $60 would beat a $550 overhaul.

My Champ came with a polished prop. The IA I used for this year's annual flagged it and $550 later I have a freshly overhauled and painted prop.

Any suggestions for breaking in my three "new" channel chrome cylinders from Gibson? (A-75-8F) I obviously don't have a CHT gauge. I've already swithched to straight mineral oil.
