Has anyone done a Chief conversion to dual toe brakes with hydraulic cylinders?

They resemble the Atlee Dodge fitting. Look inside the fuselage and see if there is a square plate about 4" x 4" welded to the fittings and fuselage tube. I just put a set on my Chief and was not quite happy with the fit, but they are very well made. Dodge will probably e mail a drawing if...

RUDDER CABLE EXIT

Charlie

Looking forward to another weekend in the shop.

BULKHEADS, STRINGERS, NAILS & GLUE

I am assembling the wood parts on my chief and notice the original had small nails holding the stringers to the bulkheads. My thinking is that a little epoxy adhesive would be better for this. Any thoughts out there? Looks like most of the wood is original on this ship, so I am putting in all new. A...

ATLEE DODGE FLOAT FITTINGS 337

Has anyone done a field approval (337) of the Atlee Dodge float fittings on an Aeronca Chief. If so, I would very much like to get a copy.

Thanks, Charlie

Peck Aero in Nova Scotia has them. Also, Wipaire makes some plastic ones that may work
