Re: Seatbelt shoulder harness -Head Liner
When i installed the front seat shoulder harness i cut out an opening in the head liner big enough to work through and folded and glued the material around a light metal rectangular ring. Then made a cover slotted for the belt strap held in place by sheet metal screws. Painted it came out quite well.

Re: Pilots vs. Fixers
I've just returned to Oregon from Oshkosh in my 7CCM. This year there was a bunch of weather rushing around and several days I spent more time by the hotel pool than in the air dealing with forces beyond my control. Not withstanding it is a two week vacation from the West Coast to fly there and back...

Re: Oshkosh 2015
Half way home and the same spirit is here in the middle of Montana as someone took time out of his day to search the field for just the right AN bolt I needed.

Re: Oshkosh 2015

Re: Oshkosh 2015
Coer d,Alene to Cut Bank Montana in two hours flat. Felt like last year with 150 plus ground speeds but this year winds on the ground were as promised by Flight Services, manageable. With stops for two fronts to pass over at night the rest of thr trip has been great flying over beautiful country. Th...

Re: Oshkosh 2015
From Oregon, God willing and the creek don' t rise. Five hours in the air got me over the Coast Range, across the Willamette Valley, through the Columbia Gorge, and over the Palouse to Coer d'Alene and a nice Shilo Inn. Tomorrow the Rocky Mountains, then it's all down hill to Oshkosh. See you down i...

Re: Oshkosh mass arrival
The information is out and it is going to be a Ballanca operation at 100mph.
Unless there are enough Aeroncas to slow the whole thing down that pretty much leaves me back on plan A for an opening day arrival and camping down in Vintage VAC.
See you all there Tuesday at the type club hangar.

Re: Oshkosh 2015
Ya trams are definitely the way to go, and bring a good book to read while sitting under a wing. I always have a comfortable backpack/folding chair, a water bottle, and a hat. I already bought all the hot stuff that fits on the panel, this year I'll be using Avare on a tablet and my phone, so walkin...

Re: Oshkosh 2015
I've got the notam and am once again planning the trip. Having beautiful country to fly through from Oregon makes it an easy fun trip, but I know you folks back East can do it too. John, looking forward to meeting you and thanking you for your great web site. The general meetup has been Tuesday morn...

Oshkosh mass arrival
A mass arrival for Aeroncas would be a lot of fun and show the flag to the larger community. Great idea and hope it comes together. Lets all reach out and make this our year to do Oshkosh.

Yes, and with a pocket full of AA batterys you can go cross country just fine.
But East of the Mississippi there are too many roads and things get confusing.

Re: brackette
I managed to get the Brackett conversion kit after several tries, installed it, and a year later couldn't seem to find the replacement filter element. Rather than clean and re-oil the element, I just went back to a new Airmaze which is easy to clean and reuse. I tried the Champion product, it was he...
