Have not found the problem yet. We took the carb off and it looked ok. The needle valve (steel) look worn and leaked (explains the dripping). The float looked good (no leaks). Everything was pretty clean. I sent it out for servicing and should get it back in a few weeks.

Dusty - I have seen fuel comming out of the nose tank...very noticeable! Gus - No noticeable difference in throttle postion. Here are my responses to the comments so far: Compression: 80/79, 80/79, 80/70, 80/76 in May Primer: checked by disconnecting in the cockpit. No leaks. I will take pictures of the spark plugs in the next few days. I have not looked at them.

I have a stromberg (don't know the model number). Mixture is wire shut.

Starts very easy. Never have to prime it even when its below freezing.
