Dick,
Which address do you want me to send the trim/throttle knob to? I'm the slender bushy-haired fellow who promised you a knob at Blakesburg.

Re: Goodyear Brake parts
My brake clips, the square hole types, stay put with .025 safety wire. I have some photos. Reply to Lgriffen80@msn.com and I'll send them.

Re: Blakesburg, Iowa Antique Aircraft Fly-In Sep 2-7, 2009
For those of you who will be attending Blakesburg 2010, we Aeronca folks should plan to meet. I am proposing a get together each day at 1:00, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, near the Southeast corner of the classic parking where my cream and orange Chief is usually parked. I'm easy to spot, tall slen...

Re: Leaking Aux fuel guage
I just re-did mine this past Summer. It was weeping around the gauge. Through lots of trial and error, I learned a couple of useful tricks and mine is now tight. Sounds like Rob T.. Glad to share what I've learned.

Re: shoulder harnesses
Yes I did. I made one that clamps on in a similar fashion. Requires only a logbook entry. Does not require the removal of the headliner. Of course, replacement of the lap belts and installation of the shoulder harnesses should be looked over by your I.A. I have the jig for this and can send pics if ...

Re: Chief Nose Bowl
Charles, I suppose just spun although I'm not sure. I've contacted a gentleman in Warrensburg, Missouri who is a sheetmetal artist and I don't know what he might need. Evidently you're a metal magician too. Would love to have a newly fabricated ring to help the nosebowl rebuild. The airplane (an 11B...

Re: Chief Nose Bowl
Wow! That is so cool! My ring is in questionable shape, I had no idea that these could be spun like spinners. Now that I see the photos it makes sense.
Can I sign-up for one of these?
Thank you,

Re: Chief Nose Bowl
I finally got my hands on a Chief nosebowl and I have Todd's drawing for it but I was unaware that there was a seperate drawing for the ring. Mine is to be completely refurbished and I'd like to have the ring drawing to give to the metal magician.

oil temp gauge
No, we are not "restoring" but we are trying to purge it of unoriginal add-ons and make it the best it can be. Our oil temp gauge needs to be replaced so while we're at it, we want to do it right.

I need an oil temp gauge. Am looking for one with no red or orange on the face and an eight o'clock to 4 oclock scale.

I'm looking for a bracket that attaches the Hooker harnesses in a Chief that someone has not installed yet to copy and make drawings of as Hooker is no longer supplying this part. If drawings can be obtained from an existing unit Hooker will consider supplying them again. I'm willing to leave a depo...
