Well I thought of it as an add on, however my airplane originally was black and some black paint is attached to the back of one of them. Coincidence? I dont know. ALso I have the original top cow and the holes do match pefectly. Thank you so much for the info.

Is this an original emblem?
A few weeks ago a previous owner of my 1938 50C Chief sent me these emblems that he took of the cowling. I have the original cowlings and the holes are a perfect match. Does anyone have these or seen these before?

Pre-War cowlings
Well as everything in my plane the cowlings are a complete disaster. Does anyone have the original sep up for a 50C/65C?. I need to know how the cowlings right after the nose bowl are. Does anyone have pics? extra ones that I can use to make templates, anything?
Tks

Re: Pre-war Chief spar making
Well assembly of the first wing is going smooth, about 75% done now. I was not able to use the original bushings at least in this wing as original rear spar was actually thinner than it is suppossed to be (Fish paper or similar material was added at the strut point to compensate). So a friend of min...

Re: Shinn wheels hubcaps
THey are vacum forming plastic (ABS?). Im using an original hubcap as a mold. Is not really perfect but if you dont look at it very close up you cant see any diffects on it.
