The spinner tooling was returned to Mr. Carr.
I want the Chief spinners to move forward. My schedule did not allow much time in the workshop.

Re: 11AC Spinner and Nose Bowl Ring
Check dwg # 3-637. That bulkhead resembles this drawing. What is the dia. and flange height of your bulkhead?

Re: 11AC Spinner and Nose Bowl Ring
In researching and working on a solution for the spinner bulkheads I feel that a steel bulkhead would be the optimal way to proceed! I researched several options and a "heat treated thicker (.080") bulkhead" or "steel bulkhead" was the best avenue. The added cost for heat tr...

Re: 11AC Spinner and Nose Bowl Ring
I have not forgot about the Chief spinners, the R&D shop has kept me busy! I am working on two solutions for issues with the spinner bulkhead. Bill Pancake and I have discussed an option that requires measurements for each propeller installation. "I need hub thickness for each propeller tha...

Re: Prop balance stand
If you look at the rear of the hub of the propeller there are balance holes in which to pack lead. If a owner decides to paint their prop and add the tip markings, over the years the weight does not balance from the painting. Also, lead will sometimes dislodge during the removal of the propeller. I ...

Re: Replacing Leading Edge Skins - Drilling Question
Kyleb,
In tough areas like skins we backdrill all accessible holes, then use lexan to transfer none-accessible holes.
What type of drill motors are you using; straight, 90 degree, 45 degree?
Sometimes we use drill bits 12" or longer and flex them into position.

Re: 11AC Spinner and Nose Bowl Ring
I have been away from the shop for a few days, the R&D group has moved me into other positions. I had three schedule changes in two weeks, little tiring.

Re: Why is our country bankrupt
JC, Seems our economy is on track for our history; Panic of 1819, Great Depression 1929 and of course the storm we are sailing through now. Would it not be amazing if we could teach our next rising generations about economy cycles! We seem to forget!!! As for our involvement in other countries, Eins...

Re: 11AC Spinner and Nose Bowl Ring
Receiving positive feedback about the spinners and bulkheads. It has been a slow process with the issues of the bulkhead assembly. Once again I appreciate your patience with me! I want things done correctly and that takes time. Charles Attached picture of new spinner assembly shipped to Australia. h...

Joe,
Found the lower panel also! Thank you for the offer. It is nice to have examples for comparison to the dwg.
Sorry about the slow response, traveling!
