Re: Stopover Along the Way
Don't know about the airports you mentioned, but earlier this week I overnighted at GWW. It was great. Tom there was extremely helpful, gave me a crewvcar and took great care of our Bonanza. I highly recommend it. Fuel prices were very good. It is a bit short of where you want to stop, but it is a f...

Re: Wag Aero Nose Bowls
It has been a couple of years now, but I decided to go with the Univair metal bowl...just to keep it more like original. It was good choice. Don't have any reason to throw rocks at the WA part, but would bite the financial bullet again and go with Univair.

Re: Cheapo Tow Bar
Thanks Mike. So far I have bought and assembled the trailer dolly. It's a pretty neat device. Once I fabricate the jig...following your intructions, for which I thank you...I will let you know. I know there are several commercial tow bars out there, but it's more satisfying to do your own...even if ...

Mike,
Brilliant!!
That looks so easy, I might even be able to do it. Do you have any details as to how you fabricated the jig?.
Regards,
John Murray

Re: planning a 2012 trip
I had hoped to have joined David's group by flying from TPA to join up in Jasper, Ga.today. Unfortunately, Florida has been deluged with rain all week and my attempts to get out this morning did not work. Hopefully, I'll join up with them later in the week. My backup plan may include flying to MWO i...

Re: planning a 2012 trip
David,
I would be very interested in joining the Georgia group. I have a 7AC with 13 gals. of fuel so it it'll be a long trip. Since I'll fly up from Tampa, I'd like to know when y'all will be leaving, from where, and your route.
Thanks and regards.

Florida fly in
The weather was glorious this past week end in central Florida. It makes me wonder if there are enough NAA folks to try a fly in in the central Florida area. Anyone interested in pursuing such an event? I'd be happy to help coordinate.

Re: Next Flyin at Middletown, Ohio
For some reason, I have June 15-16 calendared for the next Middletown Fly-In. I haven't heard any official date but we're all hitting pretty close to the middle week in June. I will be flying up from Central Florida and would be interested in joining any S.C. or Georgia folks flying up. Please keep ...

Re: Come Join us to celebrate our Champ's Birthday August 20
Have fun in your celebration. I would join you if you weren't so far away. I turn 65 tomorrow just like your Champ. Be sure it registers for Medicare!!!
My Champ is much younger and won't be 65 until November.
Regards.

I thought I had seen a date on the home page earlier, but can't find it now. Can someone confirm that June 15-16, 2012, are the dates for the NAA Middletown fly-in next year?

Re: Building a ground plane - for a radio
I have been using an ICOM hand held and it worked just fine getting into Sun 'n Fun because no transmission was allowed. I had the ADVANCED AIRCRAFT ELECTRONICS antenna installed aft of the rear seat and I can't get it to transmit at all while the engine is running. I can hear OK with the engine on ...
