Re: Service Bulletin SB 15AC06-08-10 Amendment B & Cover Kits

I just finished installing the wing inspection covers on the left wing of my sedan, took about 20 man/hours(me with some help from a buddy with the riveting) Fortunately the corrosion was minimal and not even worth a scrub with scotchbrite. The whole process was relatively easy, cutting the holes wi...

Re: What's Everybody Using for an Alternator?

I have had the plane power alternator for about 3 years, love it. It replaced the chrysler alternator that lasted less than 100 hours after full overhaul. It was easy to install and has given 0 problems, highly recommend it.

Re: Looking for original log books

Now I understand what you need. Unfortunately I can't help. My log books are for my aircraft and thus of no use to you. I really don't know were you can go. I would guess Ebay is the best bet. Good Luck!

Does anyone know if the "Flush Door Latch" shown in the Wag Aero catalog fits in the Champ/Chief Door?
It's Cat # M-242-000.

Re: Back From Oshkosh

I got back on Friday, left on Thursday about an hour before the F16 went off the runway. Lots of rain on Wednesday, but overall a great time for my first time. Another checkmark on my bucket list! The Sedan ran flawlessly, and only saw one other there, at the floatplane base. I was at the North 40. ...

Re: TKM Michel NAV/COM MX 170B

Thanks everyone for the help/opinions. I decided to bite the bullet and install a Garmin SL40. I never use the VOR even though it works perfectly. And of coarse Mr. Murphy raised his head and bit me! After receiving the new SL40 I discovered a newly installed anti collision light was causing the noi...

They do not answer the phone, they tell you to email or Fax. Have done, and their flat rate is $95 plus any modules they replace.

Re: TKM Michel NAV/COM MX 170B

I should have mentioned that I am thinking of selling my plane, and maybe I should leave
that decision up to the new owner?

TKM Michel NAV/COM MX 170B

I have a Michel 170B NAV/COM in my Sedan that has been acting up, a highpitched squeal that starts at about 128 mh and gets louder as you go up in frequency. I have heard mixed reviews about their service (it's in Scotsdale Arizona) and wonder if anyone has had any experience with them, good bad or ...

Re: Anyone use the Stewart System and whats results?

I recovered the tail feathers on my Sedan last winter (2009) in the basement of my home! that includes the application of the brush coat of the UV system. All this without 1 complaint from my wife. There is absolutely no smell!!! The spray coats went very well and I found to be relatively easy, but ...

Glad to see your 3500's worked out for you, did you do much repair on them to get them ready for the sedan?

Tachometers

I have 3 tachs for sale, the first one is from my cub which had an C85-12 engine, the glass is broken and the needle is gone, it has the yellow face and made by Stewart Warner. To use it you would need to get it overhauled, probably by Keystone Instruments, they did my other one and did a great job,...
