Re: Light sport upgrade

I believe that this will be an exemption and not a rule change. I think this means it will not have to go through the normal rule-making process. It will also mean that it will be easier for the FAA to withdraw the exemption if they feel it is necessary. The 50nm restriction on RP is not very onerou...

Re: New Medical Option

I think the physical for CDL (commercial driver's license) would work fine for 3rd class. The requirements are much less stringent and I believe waivers and exemptions are much easier to get. In all honesty if you can't pass the CDL maybe you really shouldn't be flying. The system is in place and ru...

Re: New Medical Option

" Hard to adjust the 77 price for just inflation as the regulations, tort coverage etc. changed."

That's exactly my point.

While in EMS I saw the 12ga shotgun remove limbs, liquefy internal organs and practically decapitate the individuals it was used against. It was the most devastating close range weapon I saw in use.

IIRC it costs $10,000 per lbs to lift cargo (flutes) to orbit and soon it is going to cost $63,000,000 to give an astronaut a round trip ride to the international space station.

Re: Why is our country bankrupt

The Republicans won’t do anything about illegal immigration because big business (lobby) is making too much money off of the cheap labor.

The Democrats won’t do anything because they want the voter base.

Lake of Oil

The entire world consumption of oil is 80,000,000 bbl/day.
That seems like a lot so I thought I would do some math to try and gain some perspective.

Turns out that this is enough oil to fill a one square mile lake to a depth of 16 feet!
Every single day!
