Re: A65 with a noisy idle
Chief Pilot, This sounds normal to me. My champ with the A65 and now the C85 sounds the same. my A65 had 180hrs ttso and the C85 has 50hrs ttso by Lycon. My chief with an A65 also sounds like this. Have an IA listen to it if you are still concerned. From what i can hear on the video though it sounds...

Re: Oratex Fabric
Richard,
The UV and paint is inpregnated into the fabric 9 colors to choose from or you can paint. The adhesive is water based and heat activated. 100 lbs/sq in. strength.
Bob,
Anytime you do a recover you should reweigh and do a new W/B.

Paul,
Have you talked to a DAR about this. They should have some experience with this. People de-reg aircraft put in storage. It should not be that hard to re reg.

Re: Aux fuel tank
I have the Aux tank on my Champ and wouldn't want to be without it. It works perfect! Fly for an hour or a little more, transfer fuel to the fwd tank.

Guys,
The bottom line is to deny it one of two thing (moisture or oxygen) remove one and it will never rust. It takes both for corrosion to start.

Hi,
My 7BCM with a C85-8 Stroker. will trim to 55 but i'm about 260lbs also with passenger don't need to use the trim much. I would also recommend you check the rigging of your trim tab.

Gentlemen,
This is not the same weapons ban!! This is also going to out law semi auto; handguns, shotguns and rifles that were not part of the ban the last time. This is very bad and we need to fight this with everything we can.

The last one on the list is in Inglewood Calif. Go to the FAA site and drop the C of and just use the numbers. It is a 65TL S/N 9131T MFG 1941.

Re: prop question
Dan, The next things i would check is engine timing and then you carburator. check your jets but also your venturi size is correct, 1 1/4 for an A65. also the intake spyder they should both have the same size opening. this is will limit rpm. venturi size is measured at the narrowest point in the thr...

Re: before changing engines question about prop
Hi Dan The 42 pitch will help some, RPM is HP ! If you want to climb a smaller pitch prop will let your engine rpm go higher. what static rpm do you have now? you want to get to the high side of the range. Your engine only produces 65 hp at 2300 rpm. With some changes the same engine produce 75 hp m...
