Re: Has anyone installed 850 x 6 tires?

You guys are doing a really beautiful job on your Champ. While I might be in the minority, I like your paint scheme much better than the original. Where are you from? Mike I really do not like the original yellow paint with an orange kidney painted on the outside. It looks weird. There is one paint...

Re: Has anyone installed 850 x 6 tires?

I looked at the TCDS and don't see 8.50 x 6 tires listed, but there are 8.00 X 6. Maybe that the size we'll go with.

Has anyone installed 850 x 6 tires?

We almost have our 75 HP 7AC back together and are looking at tires for it. It seems we can legally install 850 x 6 tires on it, and I think they would look good and work well on some of the soft and bumpy grass strips around here. Has anyone on here used a tire this size on a 75 HP Champ? Would I l...

Re: Looking for interior advice.

I restored my champ and put in the interior after covering, what I did was turn the fuselage upsidedown and let gravity hold everything in place, but if I had it to do over I would'nt do it, I'd just paint it all and leave the headliner out, be able to get at everything, and save weight, maybe a sk...

Thats why you are flying a Champ. If you were flying a Chief or Sedan then your parents would be Thor and Freya! :)

Re: Looking for interior advice.

Thanks for the pictures. You look like your doing a fine job. When I looked at the pictures of you and, I assume, your son it reminded me of a time I was going through some rough spots and my son showed up with a wrecked C170 on a trailer. "We'll rebuild it together" and after five nights...

Re: Looking for interior advice.

I am in Chelan Washington. It wouldn't be too hard to make, we have done that sort of thing quite a bit. I am just wondering how it is attached when the fuslage is already covered. We didn't need to recover the whole aircraft just some repair and did the control surfaces. I had been recovered in the...

Looking for interior advice.

Hello everyone, It has been a while since I have been to this forum. We have been working hard on our 1946 7AC and are almost ready for paint. Re: Just joined this forum and going to look at a Champ today!

I went and saw it with my partner in it, and the IA. I am buying it, and hope to fly it by May at the latest. Everything checked out better than expected.
