11AC Chief for Sale
A lady named Karen Kenngott contacted me. She has an 11AC that belonged to her fiance who passed away. Her original intent was to finish work on it and then learn how to fly in it, but that hasn't, and isn't going to, happen. She would be very happy to see the airplane go to someone who will finish ...

Aeronca LB restoration
I climbed into my Chief and flew down to Parr Airport north of Zanesville, Ohio today to visit with Paul Workman, who is working on the restoration of two 1936 Aeronca LBs. He inherited the projects from Jack Tiffany, who passed away last year. Paul is making steady progress. His goal is to have one...

Re: VG kits for Aeronca's
Dennis, for an extra $200, MicroAero will paint your VGs whatever color you want. I just put some on my Chief and elected to go that route rather than mess around painting them myself.

Re: Engine Preheat for A 65
I had a glue-on electric oil sump heater on my A-65. During the overhaul of my engine, Bill Pancake found that my front main bearing was severely corroded, and he attributed it to electrolysis caused by the sump heater. He recommends only external heat to preheat and never the use of anything electr...

Hi All, Heading down to Middletown tomorrow by car to start getting the place ready for the convention. Unfortunately, I'm having some work done on a cylinder so Old Number 24 won't make it this year. As always, we can certainly use some help parking aircraft when it gets busy on Friday and Saturday...
