Re: Do I need deferent cases???
Paul, I talked to DivCo this AM. They gave me the following info: Yes the cases can be machined to accept the multi piece front main bearing. They quoted a price of $100 dollars and a one day turn around, The proper bearing is an A-4 setup. This is what they said to me and of course is for the A-65....

Do I need deferent cases???
Today I tried to order crankshaft bearing from Aircraft Specalties. I talked to Chad, who asked what kind of thrust washers I needed. That was new one on me. Chad e-mailed me a chart to identify my cases. There is one case that will not accept thrust washers. It uses a one piece front main bearing. ...

Re: Hydralic lifters
Sorry to take so long to answer Mike. Yes, Divco took care of the case. Let me explain. I bought three engines for $1000. Obviously a lot of parts envolved. One engine was disassembled without a crank. There were no carbs and one engine had a pair of Bendix mailbox mags on it. The disassembled engin...

Re: Hydralic lifters
Thank you so much. I learned something today. The crank is on it's way back form ECI. I'll place an order for the bearings, front seal and the spring.

Re: Hydralic lifters
Two more questions. 1. I now have two sets of lifters. A long set that came out of the engine I'm rebuilding. They are older. I also have a short set that are almost new. Can I use the short lifters in the original lifter bodies? 2. I have no idea what length oil pressure spring to get from Fresno A...

Bendix Mags
Has anyone bought the overhauled Bendix SF4's from Fresno Airparts? I need to buy some mags and that price looks pretty good. Anybody have input about them?

My Champ
While perusing a site on the web I found a picture of my old Champ. This is the plane in which I learned to fly. My plane is sitting behind a Cub in this picture. According to the Faa It is now owned by a fella up in New York state. This is a fun site to check out. Have a good time. Dave http://memb...
