Sorry late to chime in I don't check this site that often anymore but the original setting 55# seems too tight. I believe a good compromise is 35-40#.

I believe the Citabria one will fit your model. It's certainly less expensive than the bubble which I have on my L16 (7BCM). Either windshield will take a lot of trimming to make it fit properly.

Paul is correct on the 60-80 for the conical mounts. Having said that don't be surprised if the mounts show cracks around the edges after a year or less. Look like #%## but doesn't seem to hurt anything and doesn't seem to have anything to do with torque. I've replaced them in a Champ after 3-5 year...
