Re: Eiseman Mag's
I just talked to Arnold, base price was around $450 to go through and replace bearings and such, more if it needs new condensers. For that price and what you guys have told I think it'd be foolish not to have them done there, plus he's on my way over to Omaha to Central Cylinders. Thanks a lot John

eisemann mags
Hey guys,
I'm trying to decide if the eisemanns are worth messing around with, or if I should just bite the bullet and get bendix or slicks. Is there anyone that sells/repairs eisemanns? I'll take any advice!
Thanks,
John

Re: Blakesburg AAA/APM 2011 Fly-In, August 31-September 5
I'm going to try to make it down there Thurs or Fri. I'd like to fly down since it's only 15 minutes away, but, I might drive down and have a few drinks with some friends. If anybody doesn't want to camp or can't get a hotel room they are welcome to crash at my place on a couch. (my house is about 5...

Re: Oshkosh
Heading out at 0300 tomorrow in the Chrysler
and plan on staying until Friday. Mike B I know what you mean. I was outside earlier when a champ flew over on a scud run heading that way. Hopefully I'll get the old girl done before the antique fly in at Blakesburg next year.

C-90 in a 7AC
I found a C-90 locally and I'm wondering if there is a STC or service letter for the installation. Is there any way of keeping the small tail as well?
Any advice would be appreciated

Re: Champ restoration
Well I went out on lunch and measured the front wing/spar attachment holes like you guys told me to and after measuring each side 3 times I came up with 48 9/16 on both sides from center to center. Could this be right or is something jacked up?

Re: Champ restoration
Joe- He sent me a pm and told me about it yesterday, I just read it this morning. I'm located in Iowa so it is a option. My biggest problem would be the time to get it out there with work and school. It would be nice to have a jig when we go cutting and welding in the new parts. I know back in the 5...

Re: Champ restoration
First of all I'd like to thank you guys for your advice. Today both of my instructors and I looked at it and we all came to the conclusion that I need to sand blast it first, then go on and do the measurements and center punch the hell out of it again, make the repairs and get a epoxy primer on it A...

Champ restoration
Hey guys, I'm a newbie here and just started tearing down a champ we picked up back in Jan. Just when I thought things were going pretty good with the project I got slapped in the face with some reality today. Me and a friend from my A & P class were taking the wood off of the fuselage getting r...

Re: NOT FAIR!!
The champ we picked up out in Nebraska back in Jan. was sold by Nellie and Ruby back in the early 70's and belonged to a fella from Sigourney. The FBO where I work part time when I'm not in school at OOA has Hazel's Spacewalker that she gave the owner.

Re: Champ for sale on Barnstormers $14k obo
Hey thanks a lot guys! We only have class mon-thurs so I wont be able to do anything on it until Monday. Luckily I've made some awesome friends since we have started school and they are helping me work on it whenever we get the chance to. With the spars issue aside, the rest of the plane seems reall...
