I put Superiors on the A-65 in my L3 about 3 years (200 hours) ago and have been really happy... I did that against the recommendation of a bunch of "experts" that thought I should just send the old Continentals out for a rebuild... I had the new cylinders in the time it took to ship them....

Chief Aileron Cable to Chain Attachment???

Can anyone describe how the chain that connects the control
wheels gets attached to the aileron cable... A friend has a Chief
nearing completion, but so far we can't figure out any method
of attaching these that seems mechanically sound...

I just bought a complete set from Aircraft Spruce for $451... So
far we have one wing covered but not shrunk (today's project)...
The wing envelope fit like a glove...

Have never seen such a manual... From expermenting with mine, I find that 60 MPH is a pretty good best rate of climb speed and 50 - 55 for best angle... It stalls around 30 to 35 indicated...
