Thanks for the info. I just wanted to make sure I didn't need to change some setting.

Unable to Access Some Photos in the Photo Album

On most of the photos in the "11" section of the Photo Albums page I get a "forbidden" message. Is this a setting on my browser or something for which I need to register?

I just talked to Bob Carr. He said that the spacer (PN 2-1017) is NOT required if you have a Bob Carr spinner and backplate and it is a flanged engine. However, a 1/2 inch spacer IS required if you have a tapered shaft engine.

Thanks for the replys. They helped solve my problem!

Great! Thanks for the tip. I bought our spinner from Bob so will give him a call.

This is a flanged engine. I'd rather not move the entire engine forward but might have to do that if we can't find a spacer.

Prop Spacer on a 11-AC without the McDowell Starter

We are restoring a 1946 11-AC, using a Sensenich wood prop on a flanged A-65 engine. We will not be using the McDowell starter. The Aeronca manual calls for a spacer, PN 2-1017, but we can't find one. Univair does not stock it. Does anyone know where I might find one?

I am in the final stages of having a 1946 11AC restored to better-than-new condition. This was, literally, the "project in a garage". The plane had been disassembled ten years before I bought it and had been stored (in pieces) in a garage. We are now in the sixth year of the project and I ...

Wheel Pant Brackets - 1946 11AC

I am restoring a 1946 11AC and have wheel pants but no brackets. Does anyone have an idea of where I could get some? I have checked e-bay and found nothing.

Yoke Medallions

I think we are pretty much covered. We have been able to find what we need from WagAero and from a few other vendors. The yoke medallions are one of the last things we needed.

Thanks.

Needed: Yoke Medallions

I would definitely like to see some vendor carry the medallions that are put on the center of the control yokes. I know they are decorative rather than functional, but they make the yokes look a lot better. I have been trying to find two for my 1946 11AC and have not been successful.
