Re: Happy Birthday
I did this early am. $5.39 100ll around here. Been flying the heck out of a 115 hp Chief and really like it. Burns the same as my 100hp champ did but the chief is 15 mph faster and flys better. My dad used to take my sister and I out every 4th in the evening to watch the fireworks from above in his ...

Re: Maximum HP configurations of 11AC's
I can also speak for a 100hp 0-200 champ. Had one this year. The 115hp will out do it. The 69 inch prop is no help. The 115hp runs a 74x44 prop. My 115hp chief is lighter than my old 100hp champ. If had to build one from having had a few. First I would take a chief over a champ and then I would put ...

Re: Maximum HP configurations of 11AC's
I have a 115hp Chief. It will fly circles around a 65hp chief . If I put vg's on,it still would only be one circle. I myself would not waste the money on vg's. Buy fuel and really learn your bird or Buy HP.

Re: champ air frame in oklahoma
Looks real good. Front adjustable seat, wide rear seat, hydraulic wheels and brakes, control sockets and sticks, rudder pedals, main landing gear plus a big front wheel
. You should buy it and part it yourself. I have paper work and data and a/w for one to add to it.

Re: STOL kits on 65 hp 11 AC's ?
The only kit for the 11ac is horse power. Anything else other than hp is a waste of money. I had a 170 with all the stall crap on it. Even if I put it in a 200 foot strip there was no way It would ever get out with the 145 hp engine. That is 145 hp if it was turning the rpm's to gain it, which it di...

Re: 11CC Chief
Since this a active Chief topic, how about chief with a 115hp Lycoming. Done Buzz wagner stc GW staying at 1250 empty weight is 810 is that common for chief weights???? I know my 100hp champ was 853 empty.
