Thanks for info guys, I thought all the case frames were the same but I put in no bounce just in case. been too damn busy to do the research!
Sedan looks nice Joe! I just bought a Swift, trying to not let it distract me from the Champ too much!

Hello Aeroncanuts, I am glad so many pilots have show a interest in fllying some acro with their Aeroncas. Great experience, makes you a better overall pilot in my opinion(which is worth what you paid for it!). Just a couple of thoughts though. 1 Must have confidence in ship(no ratty clunkers) 2 Mus...

Dusty, Thanks for info. Yeah, I have never trusted fuel gauges in anything. Usually if you have a tank you have a way to indicate quantity. Even with 5 gal wing you can watch main tank quantity increase as verification. Just a little unusual. I am planning a bunch of tests when I get her going just ...

Thanks for compliments guys. Very time consuming, easier to build new that rebuild old! Story on damage is typical old airplane log--sketchy! Says RT leading edge repair and installed servicable RT gear assy. Who knows, probably flew it into a house! Fuselage will get same treatment as wings, hope t...

Hello All, Figured I would share some photos of my rebuild of 7EC. Photo of tubing shows only part of crack, only about 30% of tube was still connected. Damage history from late sixtys, flew this way untill 98. About 500 hrs worth. Says alot about champ enginering and strength! Wings were completely...

Hello, I agree, Mike that it would be a short seam on a L16, but I think it would be easier to hide it going across the back. I think you will always see a seam if you look hard enough, it is just how you execute the job, some are almost invisible but then there are the butchers out there......... I...

Hi Nathan, Thanks for info. Not to sound like a mental case but, sew then shrink, correct? recovered a few Stinsons but never had to sew! Model 12 is a unbelievable acro mount, has been the most fun flying I have ever done. If you are in GA I assume you flew with Larry King? Well, off to take a busl...

Hello group, 7EC rebuild is to the point of recover. It has greeenhouse option (L16 glass) I have read the old posts on the fuselage and was wondering if anyone has used the blanket method (big tail) and how it should be done. Trying to avoid ugly seams. Wings are ready also, and I would like to use...
