Re: engine panel moved to PILOTS instrument panel.
The carb heat and A7 ignition switch on front instrument panel left side add-on, and I left the fuel shut off where it was, log book entry, works for me. Jack

Re: engine panel moved to PILOTS instrument panel.
Paul, the champ was already placarded "Solo front seat only" I'm going to move the fuel shutoff to the front and make an entry to that effect in the engine log, I've discussed this with a couple AI's I know, and they seem ok with it. I know there are some Champs out there with the engine p...

engine panel moved to PILOTS instrument panel.
Has anyone out there have any data/thoughts on moving magneto switch, carb heat cable, and fuel shut off to the instrument panel area where it's at a normal position for the PILOT to operate? I recently bought a 7AC Champ with the carb heat and mag switch (toggle switch's) on the instrument panel, &...

Re: 0-200-8
I have a Sensenich metal 76AK-4, dia. 72, pitch 44, approved by Sensenich in PA. the best I can get out of it is 2300 RPM's, I don't know if getting the prop pitched so I can get more RPM's would help, I had a wood 70X40 on it a while back after I overhauled the A65 to a A75, and got a little better...

Re: 0-200-8
Thanks for the info, I will have to think on this, as I have a "low time running fine" A75-8 on the front of the champ, but am always thinking of things to do...

Is there such a thing as a Continental 0-200A-8, if so can I install it on my Champ with a STC? I know that they do not come from the factory that way, but can have cover plates installed over the vacuum pump, starter and alternator holes, just checking, got a lead on a 0-200A. Does anyone have this...

7AC heater
The 1st time I posted this it didn't get posted, so here go's again, "is it required that the USELESS heat muff, heater hose, air inlet and heat box be installed on a champ?" I have seen J3 Cubs with all their heater equipment removed, I have posed this question to some of my IA friends an...

Re: The latest Aeronca Aviator
I had a old, "real old" scott 2000 on my 7AC champ, and yes it unlocked on me a few times, and last week during a five ship formation takeoff it did it for the last time, today I installed a nice looking API 6131 tail wheel, now maybe I can takeoff without my left heel ready to hit the bra...

Re: New Champ owner
Brian, the airpark that i'm located at is not far from highway 351, we have about five IA's in the area, i'm a A&P as are most of the guys that hang out around here, most likely will be smooth sailing there, if your champ parts are ok, i'm covering a Taylorcraft BC12D now, but am almost finished...
