Re: Strut material substitution

you may want to ask Pete Plumb in Ca.,if he can make them. He did the ones for my 65TC.

Re: solo from rear

I pilot my 65TC/L-3 from the rear all the time. No big deal, this way I don't need the reading glasses for the panel, lol! People have asked me,why don't I fly it from the front with extra baggage in the rear? No brakes up front! I hardly use them for stopping anyway, but sure like to have them. http:...

Re: How three of us spent our Tuesday or "The rescue of Tacky"

You are welcome John ! Yup, I remembered the 5 blades, but did not know your procedure inside the cockpit, but I am also a former Chief pilot with an armstrong starter,so your bird was in the best of hands with our crew :) It was a real pleasure doing this little trip and I think its all about karma. ...

By the way,for those who don't know, this area was used in WWII by General George Patton to train the troops for Africa

Re: O-58 / L-3 Canvas cargo pouch

I used a canvas bag from harbor freight(for a table saw dust collector) a bit on the large side, but I made it fit.

Air Scout poster

I was wondering,if anyone has a copy of and air scout poster of the L-3 and would be willing to get me a quality scan. It makes a great tool if you have a bunch of school kids visit,
I saw it last a few years ago on ebay, but was unable to bid at the time

Thanks
