Bob, The Chief here has wing tanks from Aero Fabricators (Wag Aero) installed using their STC. Hope this helps.

Re: Wing Tanks for A Chief
Bob, There is an 11AC here locally that has a 5 gallon tank in each wing. I will try to find out what the approval basis was for that.

Re: muffler shroud
Bob, The WagAero catalog does list them. Might give them a call and confirm that they have what you need.

Re: Pros and Cons for Champ recover please !!!
There are also weekend classes for the Stewart's System process. You may want to do one of those just for comparison for yourself. Pro's and Con's to each system. Probably comparable costs for materials. Does your Champ need recover right away? Or could it go a few more years? I have seen fabric job...

Yes, we still have the parking brake handle. Let me know if you would like to have it.

Hudson
I don't have any personal experience with the dynafocal part, but yes I think that is what you can start with. Then welding in the tubing to the firewall ends should be fairly straight forward. Hope it works out for you.

Re: Lycoming O235
Hudson,
Since your project is experimental, you could just have an engine mount welded up by someone qualified to weld aircraft parts. Is there a shop in your area that does structural repairs on steel tube aircraft? Might inquire there for suggestions.

Re: Lycoming O235
Perhaps a call to American Champion Aircraft is a place to start. The 7ECA uses the O-235 engine, although I don't know if it is the Dyna Focal mount version. I do know that your proposed installation has been done before.

Parking brake & trim handle
We have an apparently complete parking brake lever assembly. It was on a Chief but I believe is the same on a Champ. Also have an elevator trim control arm with the friction knob. Make a small but fair donation to our EAA Chapter and I will put either part in the mail to you.
Thanks, Bill

Re: C90-12 in 7AC
Paul, Bob, and John, thank you all for your input. I did call Bill Pancake and he says that he should have his STC for the installation of a -12 engine in the 11AC Chief very soon. He has had a verbal approval from the FAA and is just waiting for the final paperwork to show up. He is working on the ...

C90-12 in 7AC
I have recently acquired another project. This is a 7AC that has been undergoing restoration for some years now. Part of the package is an overhauled C90-12F. The airframe has always had the original A-65 on it up to now. I know that Service Letter 56 allows for the installation of a C90-12 engine t...
