Re: 26" Good Year Tundra Tires
I'm a little behind on this forum. Did you have any luck with getting the Goodyears approved? My Sedan got an approval for 26" Goodyear tires. Let me know if you'd like a copy of the 337. Louis

New wing rib
Just received a beautiful NEW wing rib from Burl. Sure is nice to have factory parts available when the need arises!

Wing wiring
Has anyone else here attempted to replace the wiring in the wing of their Sedan? I know the logical answer is "don't!" but I'm beyond the point of no return having removed all the old tape holding the old wires to the clips. It's at least possible with the new inspection holes but not, by ...

Re: New Sedans available!
Sedan's have MUCH more legroom than Champs. That is a good part of why I bought my Sedan back in 88. I'm 6'6" with a good part of that dimension taken up by leg. The Sedan was the only plane I could afford that I fit in. Mine has the stock jackscrew adjustable pilot seat. I believe the new Seda...

Re: Queen of the Berry Patch
Dik: I think I have an extra set of rigging for Atlee Dodgeskis. Let me know if you want to look at it. If it's still usable (and I do a better job of digging that out than the skis) you're welcome to it...Louis

Re: Queen of the Berry Patch
Dik, looks really nice. It's good to see SOMEBODY getting their Sedan back together. Actually, I am making some progress again. Hope to have the wings done by this coming spring, then start assembling things. The red on the blue airplane is a good idea, although it was pointed out to me (my plane is...

Re: Queen of the Berry Patch
Thanks. Did you end up repainting the wings? I've definitely got some stripping and painting along with a little sheet metal work to do on mine. Who is doing your annual? Lee has a nice setup over there. Looks like the T-28 is up and roaring around this summer! Take care....Louis

Re: Queen of the Berry Patch
I should visit here more often. Thanks Dik, I bought a landing lens kit from Burl a while back so that should work. the rubber on the old one was getting pretty rotten. I feel like I'm finally back on track with my project now. I inspected the wings and they appeared corrosion free to me, but I got ...

Re: Queen of the Berry Patch
Ditto on the endorsement of the Knotty Shop over the Santa Claus House. Check out their Taxidermy and Gun display. I recommend the Blueberry Cheesecake ice cream. Dik: Your Sedan looks nice! Great progress. Maybe you can come over here and finish mine now  Who are you getting to inspect your wi...

Re: Wing Strut Attachment Replacement
Thanks. Talking to Roger about it is a really good idea. I usually see him at the EAA meetings. Did you do the corrosion inspection on your wings? Speaking of Roger, have you seen the Jenny since they hung it up in the new terminal?...Louis

Wing Strut Attachment Replacement
Has anyone here removed and replaced a wing strut attachment? (that's the fitting that the wing strut fitting is bolted to and is riveted to the spar web) I need to take it out since the nuts for the strut fitting got loosened and there is no way to get on the bolts without removing the attachment f...

I finally got all the inspection holes cut in my wings. I've only inspected a couple of bays but so far things look pretty good.

Re: Alaska in the Fall
Still here! My backside is still smarting from that kick in the rear that you told Todd to give me when he got here, Joe! .....no, he is actually a very nice guy and did not actually carry it out but probably should have  . Todd and Patrick gave an excellent presentation on the B-25 recovery at...

Re: Queen of the Berry Patch
I put the seaplane grommets on my Sedan. With those you need to melt in the holes before the grommet is glued on. Then silver dollar sized fabric doileys go over the grommet. With Poly-Fiber, I believe, you are only required to melt in the holes, no grommet required as long as you're in a reinforced...

Re: Queen of the Berry Patch
That picture brings back some memories from not so long ago! Have you had a chance to check out the condition of the tubing yet? I was lucky and didn't have to do a huge amount of cutting and welding, there would have been a whole lot less if I didn't do the tailwheel spring conversion. That ended u...
