To Rib Stitch, or Not

A question. What does AC use to fasten the cloth on the wings? Am asking because I and several others who have discussed this issue am not near any AC planes and none of us can remember seeing how it is done.

Door Frame Rust

Mike, and All, I am passing this along, from another restoration thread concerning a Piper Colt. The fellow welded the door channel back on after painting and after the welding, he then made a "cone shaped nozzle for a grease gun. He then put the narrow nose of the grease gun at the top and for...

7 HC

Dave,

Thanks for the "flyers" view. That is interesting about them being heavy and and landing with a cross wind. Something only some one who had flown one would know.

Question about 7 HC???

Can someone point me to where I could find the statistics on a 7 HC?
Gross Wt., Net weight, range, etc. Also does anyone know if there has been
a "Pilot Report" article printed on an HC? If so, where?

Thanks in advance.

Paul,

Thanks. I appreciate your opinion. I never thought about the optics until you mentioned it.

Greenhouse "Glass"

Paul,

Not to butt in on the thread, but I have a question about the straight vs. curved glass. I am really ignorant on this but would like to know, can the straight be heated and curved or would it be just as well to purchase the curved? Your opinion??

Wide Gear Service Letters

I am looking for the Model 7 FC service letters #s 45 and 46. These are for wide track main gear and upping the gross weight from 1450 to 1500 lb.

If you happen to know where I may obtain a copy of these I would appreciate if someone would let me know.

Thanks in advance.
