We purchased NC81757 this weekend. It is a 1945 Aeronca Champ that was owned by the same family for 39 years. It has had a painstaking restoration and has logs to day one. Hi everyone I’m a new member and picking up a 1945 7AC this weekend. I’m learning all I can, but one thing perplexes me. This aircraft made its first flight in December 1945, but has a serial number in the high 300’s. How did Aeronca sequence their serial numbers? I see a s/n 10 listed.... Just curi...
