Re: Control Stick Removal?
Thanks.... They're both out now & are in the process of being painted. Funny Story: I had forgotten to tell a friend who is allowed to fly my Champ that I had removed the control sticks. This morning I get a phone call from him saying that he & our CFI were going to use the plane for his bi-...

Control Stick Removal?
The pins come out easily. Then the sticks won't budge. Don't want to screw anything up. Help!

Champ 7AC Windshield
A couple of years ago when rebuilt my Champ I replaced the windshield. After removing the old one I discovered it was in a lot better shape than I originally thought. So I saved it in my barn for future use. For two years I've been moving stuff around it very carefully, always afraid of cracking or ...

ICOM A-5
I got my ICOM A-5 about 6 years ago, the same time I acquired my Champ, & it has performed just fine hooked to an external antenna. Since the Champ had no electrical system the A-5 was taken home after each use & recharged on it's home recharging system. After I got my Ercoupe I started look...

"Rattle-Can" Touch Up Paint
The fabric & paint on my Champ is only about three years old, but is showing signs of wear in the normal places where bugs get squashed & canopy cover is blown by the wind & chafes the paint. I found that our local O'Reilly's Auto Supply will match & mix rattle cans of paint for $29....

Re: Insurance costs...again
I pay $357.00 for a million of liability only through Airpower Insurance, LLC, out of Phoenix, AZ. Actually went down a bit from last year. Of my 800 hours about 400 is in taildraggers.

Re: Personal Property Tax....
Here in Oklahoma the yearly tax is based on the plane's gross weight. My Champ, at the bottom end of the scale, costs $10.00.

Stolen Transponder
Hope this isn't a double posting but I typed this out about a half hour ago, submitted it & it hasn't appeared yet. So here goes.... Last week a Garmin GTX-320A, Transponder, Serial No. 83807081, was stolen from my '46 Champ. They did a real nice job of removal & nothing else was damaged. So...
