Ok gentlemen, Took the trim tab control apart to clean and inspect before re installing. The disc I have look like leather--Is that correct. All the parts manual shows is disc. John, I have the drawing of the plane and can get part nos. However where are you getting the drawing for each individual part (aeronca drawing 2-686)? Is that on the CD, it is not on the drawing I have. Thanks Ron

Thanks, we thought that was right and that is what I am going to use 7x19 1/8. it has 3/16 everywhere and we guessed that is what the crop duster place had on had so they used it. bigger is better :lol: :lol: . Paul, thanks I found an sling maker here that has 1/8" 7x19 strand 2000 # cable at a good price. question 1/8" all around? The only palce mine had 1/2 was fromthe aileron pull to the turn buckle along the door post up. Every thing else is 3/16. Probably cause that is what he duster place h...

Well as said before it was abused during it's day and for only 1700+ hrs total time (I'm guessing from the log books/tach time from engine change), It has no parking brake or tube connecting the pedals.
