Copperstate Fly in Casa Grande Arizona 25-28 Oct
Just trying to get things spooled up for the upcoming Copper State fly-in next month in Casa Grande Arizona. 25-28th of October, and a beautiful time to come for a visit.
We have had several award winning Aeronca's there, including Tom Holmes TC-65 that won the Grand Championship award several years back, so lets keep up the tradition by flying a lot of Aeronca's here.
More info at: http://www.copperstate.org/index.html
Hope to see a lot of the NAA group over here in a month!

Paul,
Glad that someone is coming.
To tell the truth I now may not make it there. Work just called and wants me on standby from the 22nd on, so not sure right now. Supposed to head to Berlin and Moscow for a couple of months.
If you head this direction pls let me know! If I am not here have friends who will be at the fly-in.

I will be at Copperstate on Friday and Saturday. I am volunteering and it looks like I will be driving a golf cart transporting pilots from their planes to registration. My wife will be working the registration booth. I think our duty times are about 4 hrs a day.
Look us up if you come.
Regards

I just returned from Casa Grande. The Fly-in looked to be a sucess for the EAA.
There was very few antiques at the show, and I only saw one Aeronca a Chief. The Forums were well attended as was the Trade show. Stewarts Systems displayed their covering system and the forum was well recieved. This is a good product.
I was able to spend a day at the Pima Museum in Tucson and its worth the time. They have many of the military heavys. The only missing aircraft was the first Air Force aircraft, the L16.
The Cactus Fly-in is held at Casa Grande in March and would be a great opportunity for many of the Easteners to escape the cold.
