disconnected static line

Post by boeing »

Hi again.....during the annual inspection we (ame) and I, discovered that the static line (rubber hose) was detached from the steel line at the wing root. This is the same steel line that runs along the pitot line from the right wing. anyway, we connected it again but have not had a chance to fly the plane since. What effect would there be on the airspeed indicator if it was up until this time, getting its static source from inside the cabin as opposed to the outside static line that it is meant to draw from? would indicated be more or less then actual?

Static line

The cabin is so leaky I doubt you will see much difference at all. I know that I didn't see much in my 182 when I used the alt static source in the cabin.
