Just wanted to share my news. I received the new wag-Aero catalog last thursday.I ordered an oleo case frame from them and some Cessna parts.
They came here today and had no problems.Price is a lot better than other companies.I also Bought an engine mount last year from Wag-aero for a PA-17 and it was a very nice part. Some people have bad things to say about them but I only have good to say.
Also does anyone know where to get the aluminum blisters or bumps that are on the top of an 7EC engine cowl with the C-90 in it for the plug harness clearence?

The fairings I used are J3 Cub brake fairings,they are on the bottom of the boot cowl. I bought them from Univair. I,m glad to see you are satisfied with the wag aero stuff. All I ever got from them is overpriced trash. Paul Agaliotis

Do you know the part number. I am looking in my Univair book now and would like to make sure I order the right one to see if it will work. I like Univair parts also. I think that having a few large compaies out there that are alike will keep things in line and not become one big wal-mart or home depot style buisnees that corners the market. I think it is good that we can still get parts for the old birds to keep them in the air. Look what it costs to keep a Warner engine together or a E-225 Continental. Just think if there was only (one) place to buy Aeronca parts.Hell I am happy to still get them.

Instead of installing blisters, you might consider shorter spark plugs on the front two cylinders. I'm not sure of the correct number, but they are about 3/8 inch shorter than the stock plugs. Bill Pancake has the correct plug number.

Yup, the shorter plugs are the way to go. Aircraft Spruce an Specialty. They are the Unison #UREM37BY. They are 3/8 inch shorter than the stock plug.

I used the UREM37BY plugs in the front two cylinders on my A65 Champ and they worked fine. Because of the electrode "reach' they look a little different and I guess they aren't supposed to foul quite as bad on 100 LL.

Regarding Wag Aero guys, lets give them a chance to get their ducks in order on Aeroncas before we start shooting them down. I have to say, I've had good luck with Wag over the years. Hopefully, they will continue to support our beloved Aeroncas and maybe even expand the line with new parts and products. Heck, being from Wisconsin, I even have to pay sales tax!!! (plus shipping).

Jim, I dont have the p/n offhand I,ll look in my Univair stuff to find it. As the other posts have said the short plugs are also a way around the clearance problem. I,ve used alot of the vendors and have found most to be quite good, with exception of the one previously mentioned. I know how hard it is to find these obsolete parts, so if you have any of those old Warner parts there is a nice WACO RNF that could use them. Talk to you soon. Paul Agaliotis
