It indicates about 95 mph
but my airspeed tends to read a little high anyway and especially in the colder weather. In the summer (with wheels) I seem to true out around 82-85 at 2150 rpm according to my GPS. I'll have to try it with skis one of these days. The nice thing about skis is all the available 'emergency' landing fields. The down side is dealing with all the snow, cold weather problems and preheat. You just can't preflight, jump in and go.

Chief and Champ together in harmony.......
My Chief and my good buddy Scott's Champ parked in Clinton, Oklahoma at a fly-in last summer. We have flown together alot.......in fact last summer we went from Ponca City, Oklahoma to Blakesburg, Iowa and back.....it was the best trip ever....

I was at Blakesburg too, I think in that same row way down at the far end in a white and green Cessna170B.

Me and my Champ, Wheeler Ranch, Az.
Here is a picture of my landing strip in La Paz county Az.
Wheeler Ranch on the right and my new neighbor on the left. The neighbor is in the process of building a hangar.
A couple of the neighbors landing on 17, coming in for a breakfast flight, they live 6 miles north of the ranch.
This Piper flew over and he noticed I had a camera and not a gun, so he landed.
