Richard, I am currently getting the wood for my Chief. My old wood is good for a pattern. Some slight warpage in the formers. When I am done with them, you could use for a pattern if you aren't in a super big hurry. Left and rigth sides are symetrical. If I use one side for a pattern, I could send you the other. Trying to find marine grade plywood close enough to pick up. Living by rivers I would think someone would have it.Richard wrote:The previous owner, had his ex get mad, and she destroyed all of the wood on the a/c . I don't have any patterns to make new wood formers.
Blue Skies and Stay Safe, and preserve 'em
There is a set of used Chief fuselage formers on Ebay right now. Do not know the seller but they are located in Nashville.

11 ac wood kit
Thanks Joe;
That wood kit is for a champ.
I spoke to wag aero and they want around $700 plus $200 for shipping.
They currently don't have all of the parts in stock.
When I spoke to safeair repair it was $625.

Richard,
Sorry about that, getting old I guess!
Unless the "wood kit" comes with all the stringers and such, that price is a lot of money. The formers are just plywood that anyone can cut out with band or jig saw. The key is having the old wood to use as patterns. Still looking for my old patterns and will get back to you if I find them.
