Hi all, I am Tony and I just bought my first Plane, a 1947 11ac. with my lack of knowledge regarding this aircraft it looks like I have a steep learning curve in front of me. does anybody happen to know of a a/p in the maryand area that knows these planes? BTW this is a great site and I look forward to meeting some of you.

Send an email to Tony Markl and ask who he recommends. He is a long time Aeronca owner and pilot, and lives in the MD area. Tell him Joe A sent you. Also if you need any tailwheel or fabric instruction, he is very good at both.

Thanks, I have left a couple messages for him last week, he is out of town. I being an auto shop owner by trade am trying to get this thing cleaned up a little...I just paid 400 bucks for a fuel guage leak, and now I find out its a model a part

Now that you have found this forum, ask us before making any repairs like that. Snyders Antique Ford parts has the gauges and tools to install the part.
