In my humble opinion, if anyone bids on a tube/fabric plane sight unseen, they are nuts. We looked at many Champs before we found the "right" one. Most of the photos looked good from a distance, but close up, there were nightmarish problems. Lots of screwed up paperwork too that would be nearly impossible to correct. There is a lot of junk out there dressed up to be presentable. Selling a Champ (or any other type of plane) on Ebay could be a way to hide defects, and look for a sucker, so beware.
