1941 65CA Ignition/Magneto Switch

Post by edkale »

I need an ignition/magneto switch for a 1941 65CA. A standard Bendix switch is two short to mount in an origional 65CA panel it needs to have a long neck. Any suggestions?

Ed,
That switch is kind of unique. Let me take a look in my junk box. I just brought home a new batch of "loot" and haven't separated it yet.

You might also get ahold of Don Jones who sells on Ebay. He has a lot of misc stuff and is a early Aeronca fan.

Do you still have the old one? A lot of this "old technology" stuff is fairly easy to disassemble and repair. But I didn't say that nor have I done such a thing.

Ed,
I went through some stuff yesterday. None of the switches were of the type your looking for. I've got a few more dark corners to look in. There is a 65CA in one of the out buildings that I need to get to. It may have one in the boxes of parts.

No luck Ed,
The 65CA has an A-9 in it. If I run across any thing I'll keep you in mind.
