I'm considering putting Citabria wing tips on my champ. Does anyone have a set for sale and has anyone on here had experience doing this before. Thanks.

The Citabria tip rib is quite a bit different from a Champ. You may need to install all of the Citabria parts from the aileron well outboard.
If I remember correctly there is a Champion service bulletin that covers this.

CITABRIA WING TIPS
CITABRIA WING TIP INSTALLATION ON CHAMP AIRCRAFT IS COVERED BY SERVICE LETTER #35. MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS LISTED IN SERVICE KIT #196. BASICALLY YOU HAVE TO INSTALL A NEW TIP RIB, TRAILING EDGE, LEADING EDGE SKIN, WING TIP, RIB BRACE, SUPPORT TUBE, WING TIP AND ASSOCIATED HARDWARE. ALSO 7AC, 7BCM, 7CCM AND 7DC MUST BE PLACARDED NO INTENTIONAL SPINS, PLACARD # 1-9177. MOST OF THE PARTS WAG AERO HAS IN STOCK. WE DO NOT HAVE A PRICE AS WE HAVE NEVER SOLD THIS AS A KIT BUT WE WILL COME UP WITH A KIT PRICE IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO. Citabria Wing Tips
A friend of mine bought a set of 7AC wings to rebuild, recover and then replace the present wings on his Champ. The wings he bought had the Citabria tips on them. He is sticking with the original 7AC wing shape and would like to sell the old wing tips. He is out of town until Friday. Matt will get on his computer then and make a connection with you. Once he gets the new wings on the plane, the original wings will then be for sale.

Matt is back in town but isn't a registered member so he can't post you personally. He asked me to post for him. The wing tips come with a different rib that replaces the outermost Aeronca rib. He wants $175.00 for the whole set or $150.00 if all you want are the two Citabria tips. Please send me your phone number if you are interested.
