Peachstate Aerodrome Nov. 8th

Post by Nathan K. Hammond »

We had a great showing last year with Kieth Parker from South Carolina,
and Ed Clark, Mark and Chip from Florida. Not to mention the back
woods hillbilly's from the North Geargia mountains.
We might have to break out the 5 gallon blender again...

Also, some great news; We've moved the operation over to the New
Hangar and New Restraunt! Parking should be much better, not to
mention being in the new facilities.

All the major hotel chains are in Griffin (30332), about a 10 minute ride by car. If you fly over and need wheels to get to town and back, I'll leave my truck for you. Offer stands for anybody on the forum.

Do you like Stearmans? There were more there today than you could count on both hands and both feet! Literal lovefest of Stearmans it seemed! :P Some of those little J3 thingy's were there, several correctly configured Cessna's, and a T-cart; not near enough Aeronca's though. When I was there for lunch, only one flying (mine) and one wingless fuselage (you know whos) and a Citabria. Oh, and several antique cars...even an antique tractor! And today wasn't even the fly-in! Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera... :(

Also spoke to Lloyd today, he and his gang are going to try to be there if the weather is nice. Unfortnately, I won't be making it this year.

Had an old time friend crop duster tell one time, when I had one, that Stearman's were built to teach elephants to fly. As long as you don't run out of lower left wing panels and ailerons. :) :)

Mark, your buddy David might be here.

Seriously; the weather should be sunny and 60* Perfect flying weather. Not to mention we may have the honnor of the most in type, not that it means anything, but it's great braggin rights. Especially when all the Stearmans show up thinking they're the big winner. Shoot, we might have to break out the 5-gallon blender; even if we do make hot chocolate in it.

Not to mention I've STILL got all the beer we didn't drink at Middletown.

If you look close David was wearing a red thong.

And speaking of looking close, it looks like there is a plane on the runway right under the "A" in taxiway. Cool pic! Mark
