Two new projects

Post by Paul Agaliotis »

I just bought two project aircraft and need to find some paperwork for them. The first is a pre-war Chief, from the 5pc cowling it looks to be a 50C or 65C. The second is a Tandem, the throttle cable installation indicates it is a 1940 vintage. You can reach me @ (408)683-4751. Thank You Paul Agaliotis

Have seen paperwork on Ebay from time to time. Worth keeping an eye out there.

Thanks Joe, this early paperwork and parts are tough to find. Hopefully I can find the paperwork. It would be a shame to part out the planes, both are very complete. Paul Agaliotis

Can you find any clue as to the serial numbers or N-Number that belong to the planes? If you can maybe between the list some of us have we can get enough information together that you can order the records from the FAA.

Joe, I,ve looked pretty close at all of the parts and can,t find any clues. The planes were purchased from a museum, and they have no record of who donated them. The fabric is removed and no data plates were included. The engine mounts are there but no engines. The only lead that I am tring to follow is a water transfer decal in a side window that is from the Califonia Aeronca Association. If I can locate a membershp roster, Perhaps I could find a past owner. It,s a slim chance I,m going to find any information on these aircraft so I,m looking to purchase the paperwork if it becomes available.
