Damaged Wing Ribs

Thanks Joe, let me know the details for the transaction. I can remember when we used to throw away cylinders because they were cracked. But with all of these new-fangled repairs out there it seems there is not too much that cant be repaired. Paul

Seems to me, that if you've got all the rib fixtures. You should be able to fabricate new ones instead of having to repair old broken ones.
Am I thinking wrong?

The fixture,s I have are for repairing the rib. It allows the rib to stay dimensionally correct during the repair proceedure. The fixtures you refer to would be stamping dies for manufacturing of ribs, which you could not produce without PMA. Paul

Shorty, with the pre-war wooden ribs that is correct but making a stamped metal rib would be a different story. This would require a large metal press and lot of setup time and work.
