Airport Identifier?
What is the airport identifier for Peachstate Aerodrome? Does it have another name? I can't locate it on Airnav.

Al is a very nice guy and real sharp too. I also met a fellow named "Tate" I think that knows Duane Jones! Small world! Paul Gould was there as well. Pete Smart from McDonough GA sat next to me. Have talked to folks all day about Middletown, OH. I have my NAA Tshirt on. Been talking to Jon G. from Polyfiber and having a blast. Did you know Ranthane is now approved under the STC to go over Polyfiber products! May have to try some. David J. P.S. Joe, only had to drive 525 miles in a little truck.

Okay gang here ya go....
This is the first Southern Style Aeronca Fly-In but it’s shaping up to be a good one. It’s setup to be an easy going weekend, for everybody to come hang out and have a great time. There is no official schedule, except for BBQ and Margarita’s at my house Saturday evening (50yds from the airport). Some things to know…..
Location: Peachstate Aerodrome (GA2)
2400x100 Turf marked with cones and tires, Runway’s 13-31 with a slight dip in the middle. RW31 has a displaced threshold for (use full length at your discretion and with caution; you can’t see the other end except from the displaced threshold on.) The runway has a bit of washboard to it in the middle that can get a little rough.
Registration Fee:
Yep, there sure is. Until I win the lotto, you guys will have to help me out.
$30 per person; that helps cover the Saturday Evening BBQ and all the extra stuff like port-a-crappers.
What to Bring:
Tie-Down’s
Sunscreen
Camera
A folding Chair can come in handy
A great Attitude and stories to tell
Fuel:
Is located on the field. Last I saw, fuel was $3.40/gal but that can change between now and then. Other options are; Griffin (6A2) 5 miles East; Thomaston (OPN) 15miles South; and Tara (4A7) 10miles North.
Food:
There is a restraunt located on site; www.barnstormersgrill.com You are on your own for the weekend EXCEPT for the Saturday Evening BBQ and Margarita’s. I will have a cooler stashed by the registration tent with some water in it through the weekend. I’ll try to have them open up early on Sunday for breakfast, or get the local EAA to do up coffee, pancakes sausage etc…
Saturday Evening 6pm – BBQ and Margarita’s and all the other good Southern Humidity you can stand will be at my house; 50 yards from the airport.
Shelter:
Good ‘Ol fashion camping. There is a small, single shower in the Museum hangar and I’ve also got a shower at my house (50yrds from the airport.) For the likes of David Johnson and other discernable characters, I have a hose out back to make you feel at home. But if that’s not your thing… several hotels are located about 6 miles away in Griffin.
Best Western
Howard Johnson Inn
Comfort Inn
Days Inn
Super 8
Transportation:
We are working on getting a loaner van/bus from the Church to shuttle folks to and from the hotels and airport. If this falls through; we’ve got enough vehicles to cover.
But if you are Maverick and like to go solo…
Economy Rent-A-Car 770-227-5966
Enterprise Rent-A-Car 770-223-2830
Things to Do:
If you’re interested in touring the local area; Peachstree City, FFC is 15 miles away and home to Aircraft Spruce and Specialty; Atlanta Motor Speedway is about 10 miles to the North, (Mark Lamon will be happy to take you airplane around the track...) For a pleasant flight and sight seeing; river-run the Flint River into the Pine Mountains. It’s about an hour round-trip more or less. If you ever wanted to fly a Stearman, J-3 or need a BFR, Tim Preston is the resident CFI and can set you up. www.flytailwheel.com/Index.htm
Here you see the general layout of the airport. We'll try to fill up the parking on the far right of the picture first, since it's the smoothest. And the RED arrows show the general taxi routes.
