It's started off with a "bang!"
Jimmy drifted over about 4:30 to see what was going on.
Derek drove over about 5:30 and hung out the rest of the night.
While Derek and myself were checking the loacl area by air, Mark jumped us from below.
And about that time David made it down from Jasper. And then the fun started.
Mark finally got his airplane started again to put it on a tie-down, after propping 3/10ths on the tach and blowing a nice fire ball. Then it was off to crash O'Charlies for a smash-and-grab dinner. On our way home from dinner (12am) a small front line pushed down on Peachstate, so we baby sat Marks champ using the truck as a wind break. All's good now with little to no wind but some CRAZY lightning!
see ya'll tomorrow!

Nate & Kelley are awesome hosts. Treated all of us like Family. Made several new friends, and put faces with a bunch we already know on the forum. Fairly small, but loads of fun. PeachState is about the ideal place for this. Food, Museum, Old Planes & Old Plane People. Doesn't get any better than that! The Museum has a Curtis Robin with an OX-5 engine under restoration. That's almost as old as Lloyd! Paul & Judy, very glad you all came and hope you had fun in Georgia! The guys in North Carolina: now we have friends in N.C.! They have an very slick 65CA(I think that's right). You all will like it when you see it. Jimmy, we expect to see you posting more. If not, we will come see you in the middle of the night. Don't want that, do you! Had fun visiting with Kyle, we have to find you an Aeronca. Derek & Mark....(shaking my head), keep running from the strait jacket folks, you can make it! Those I may have left out, my memory is bad, we had a blast meeting each one of you. David J./Jasper, Ga

To all:
The First annual Southern Style Aeronca Fly-in was an absolute hoot and well worth it! Y'all did great! Even the weather cooperated and I learned enough from listening to Don to pay for the whole trip and then some. Flying a 65 horse airplane against a 27 mile an hour head wind gives you time to study the same parts of Georgia real well. To all who worked putting this one on-THANKS, it was great.
