Joe,

Thanks, I have a pair of pinking shears for my fabric work, I just had never heard of these before. Now that you describe them I do remember seeing a photo of them years ago but didn't think they would work very well.

Wonder why nobody else ever made this type?

They have been copied I believe and have seen several makers of these shears. Not sure that anyone is making them again.

Am flying my rear off and out on the road the last week. Every day is a change in plans from the boss. Hope that tomorrow we will finally stick to the plan and have a couple of days "down time" so that I can catch up on those who have emailed me about the shears.

BTW everyone, Tom Holmes saw a set of used Florian shears selling on Ebay recently. I "watched" the auction and it finally sold for $29.99. Remember this is for a used set of shears and the buyer had no idea of the condition or if it even worked or not. For the same price, well .01c more you are getting a BRAND NEW set of the last Florian Shears that will ever be available.

Am back home now for a couple of days then out until the 23rd. Anyone wanting a pair of these (only selling one per NAA member right now) please send me a check to:

Joe Abrahamson
2532 E. Vista Bonita Drive
Phoenix AZ 85024

I have a list of people who have already emailed me and they will be served first.

Anyone who would like two of these may get them but we need to make sure that everyone who is interested gets at least one pair. Now, if you do want two pair, what you might do to save the time and trouble to mail two letters is to just email me saying that you want two and I will hold onto them for you until we sort things out here.

Now, the price of the new Florian shears is $30 PLUS shipping. Please get a ballpark idea on what shipping would cost to YOUR location and include it with your payment.

Just looked with the US Post office and the shears will fit in a small flat rate box and is well under 4 pounds, so should be able to be sent to anywhere in the United States for $4.95 and arrive in 2-3 days. If this works for everyone then include enough postage to get it to your house. Any extra will be donated to the NAA unless otherwise noted.

I will be back in town on or about the 23rd, so no hurry on getting this stuff sent in. There is someone staying at my house while gone so he can keep an eye on the checks.

Thx,

Joe A

Also, have had several emails about this. If anyone wants to renew their NAA membership, pls add it to the cost of the shears and will forward it all along when I send the funds for the shears. Would save you a letter and stamp!

Thanks,

There is a good chance I can get most of these shipped out tomorrow for the people who have sent checks already. Am heading out tomorrow afternoon on a trip and not returning until Friday. Will get the remainder sent out on Saturday or Monday for those whose checks arrive while I am gone.

Sorry for the delay, am flying my rear off. Then returned home last Wednesday late only to be told that if I did not get my expenses and paperwork in to work that I might not have a job for long, so been busy with work related things.

Thanks,

Joe A

PS Keith W, I know that you are out traveling so please let me know where you want them sent.

Ok everyone, spent several hours last night putting the boxes together, packing them and getting them ready. Took almost one whole roll of packing tape, all the bubble wrap I had in the house and two "Perry Mason" re-runs. (got so tired of this damm Mike Jackson (aka the molester) on every channel) that I would watch ANYTHING!

Every person on the list above who sent me a check has a package on the way except Keith and believe that he is on the move. Not to worry Keith, will save a pair for you.

I head out in less than 2 hours for a 4 day trip and will be back late on Friday. Anyone else who has checks enroute will have them sent Saturday or Monday.

Joe, sent email about purchasing Florian shears and joining the NAA, did not get a response. Can the shears be purchased from the NAA and can I send membership dues with the funds for the shears to same location?

Thanks, Charles

Joe,

Is it too late to get a pair of the pinking shears?

I was slow on the uptake when you were busy sending them out.

Thanks,

John

Right now we are on hold on the shears. The gent who started this great deal has misplaced his collection of shears and are on hold until he finds his. He had promised to sell some to several people on this thread and I do not want to take new orders until we have the first group covered.

Will get back to you guys once this thing is taken care of.

Charles,

Yes the address on the membership form is fine for the membership. If we can work out a pair of shears for you that comes to me.
