Can someone help me find a supplier for a slip skid indicator for my 46 Champ.
I have checked WagAero and Aircraft Spruce. I am looking for a larger size.

Re: skid slip indicator
Are you looking for the kind on the top of this picture?
The one on the top is from Wag Aero and is 6" across. Usually Wag has about 2 or 3 different kinds and sizes in the catalog. Sometimes you can find what your looking for on E-bay.

Re: skid slip indicator
OK, this is from my latest catalog from Wag Aero with the red, white and blue Skybolt on the cover. Page 9, 6 1/4" 10/10 scale by Reiker, part number is A-018-000, $36.50. Don't ask me why their new scale is from 10 degrees to 10 degrees and my old one is from 20 degrees to 20 degrees.
Personally the numbers don't mean a thing to me as your only looking at the ball in the center.
In the picture, the top and bottom are both made by the same company, Reiker in PA. The 2 bottom ones were found on E-bay and taken completely apart and repainted by me. I painted the markings but not the numbers as they were too hard to do by hand without messing up.

Re: skid slip indicator
Thanks James... I looked up the part number and they are now $89. Wow.... It is an Inclinometer. Used to measure pitch but it would work just good as a slip indicator. I need to keep looking as 90bucks is way to steep for me.

Keep an eye on Ebay.
Also the "off roader types" and sometimes RV people use these so you might look there.

jeffb, You might try a recreational vehicle supply stores on or offline, they stock them at a much lower price than the aviation supply outlets. Jack

Re: skid slip indicator
RV levels might probably work as a cheap substitute.

I'd check on e bay they come up for sale there. while the RV ones will work they look kind of RVish and will sure catch the eye of an A&P IA or FAA type.
