Ok everyone. Sorry for the delay, but we have been flying almost non-stop all summer long.

Course to top it off I was laid off from work on Monday, so now I get to spend my waking time trying to find a new job, which is almost impossible these days, especially in aviation in Arizona. Then there is the wading through all the paperwork for unemployment and so on. Oh joy!

Anyways I have shears ready to go out for Richard Ray, Ralph Fadner and Keith Leitch. Who else wants a pair? Have a few left over but not a lot, so let me know.

Also there is a good chance that I will be heading overseas in a week or possibly less, so get your orders in or it will be 3 weeks before I return.

Thanks,

Joe,

I would like a pair of shears, please let me know where to send money!

As for the job loss I know how you feel, I was laid off in March of 2008 from a multi million dollar Toyota nascar team, their are 2500 men in this state, in that industry that lost their jobs last year because of sponsor cut backs. I was fortunate to have had my part time business to fall back on. Just went back to work in the aviation industry two weeks ago, finally. It is a pain in the but these days to find a job. I hope the best for you!

Charles, Mike and John,

Think we can take care of you. We do have a few left.

John I just received your check in the mail. If I can get them out tomorrow (believe that the post office is closed) will do so, otherwise it may be several weeks.

Just got a contract gig and am heading out on it on Saturday, and returning on the 18th or so of Sept. If I can will package up John's set and try to have a friend post it, otherwise will do them when I return.

Thanks for everyone's patience!

Joe

Many thanks. Please put these shears at the bottom of your list. I know that you have more important things on your mind right now.

Thanks again for your efforts.

Best regards.

Would like to let everyone know that the sales of Florian shears has ended. For the most part we are about out of shears and even if we were not, its over.

Those of you who have sent funds to me will get them. Am packing them up for shipment today and tomorrow.

Problem is that several people sent a check either to me made out in the NAA name or to me at the NAA mailing address. I AM NOT the NAA, only on the board of directors, so cannot cash a check like this. These checks then had to be sent to the NAA HQ where Jim Thompson had to cash them, then write a second check and sent it to me.

All of this is coupled with the fact that I travel for a living and am out of town at times for a month straight. This means that checks have been sent to my house that have been sitting for sometimes two months after being routed to NAA HQ and back.

This has turned into a massive problem for both myself and Jim Thompson. Anyways wanted to let everyone know that there will be NO MORE sales of the Florian shears. Especially please do not send anything to NAA HQ in Roberts about this in the future. Checks that were sent there that have not been fulfulled will try to get you a pair of shears if we have them. Had the checks been sent to me as was noted on this thread this would have been a lot easier.

Sorry for shutting things down but this is not worth my getting into futher trouble.

Joe A,

I too am having to travel for work. I feel your pain.

I am examining a basket case Sedan and know to start gathering my fabric covering tools now. I lost my tools to a divorce, got sold while I was on deployment. So, now the search continues. Not to beat a dead horse but, I need a set of the Florian pinking shears. Could you guide me to another source to acquire this invaluable device?

Thanks Again,

Chief Mac

Mac,

Sorry to hear about your situation. Much the same thing happened to me years ago. Never again...

You see them on Ebay from time to time. If I hear of any extras will let you know.

I really did not want to end this but several people started sending checks to the main office and they knew nothing about it there, then got a bit perturbed at me. I can somewhat understand it and its not their fault but now its more work for them.

Anyway if I hear of anymore will let you know.

Joe A,

Thanks for the quick reply. In my mind, if someone was truly in want of those shears, they would send a postal money order. Should a pair come available, all I need is a name and amount; I will set up the shipping.
I think there is a special place in Hell for those that take advantage of our service members or others whom are deployed. Our trust was placed in error and it still stings to think there is no safe method of storage for our indispensable private property.

Stewart Systems also sells the Florian Pinkers on their website. I dont know if they have another source or how many pairs they have, but they do list them.

Just found it... and boy are they proud of them! $77.50! It appears to be the old original box so hopefully they found some NOS!
