Fuel Prices
I just paid $3.20/gallon for 100LL out here in GJT in Colorado at the only FBO on the field. I was hopping rides in my 450 Stearman and burned a little over 86 gallons.....OUCH! Needless to say, the Stearman is taking a rest and the ol' Champ is out flying this week.

I just paid 3.999 per gallon at Birchwood in Chugiak AK twice the day before yessterday. Birchwood also has the cheapest prices in the state of alaska. You would think that with all that oil leaking up through the ground up here, Avgas would be cheap.
I flew a couple of friende over Mt Spur to see the volcano that is beginning to heat up. At 12,000 ft, the lake in the crater is liquid water with steam rising with glaciers on all the faces of the mountian. OAT was -10 C. Then refuled and flew the Knick glacier and saw the glacier calving and Moose and Dahl sheep. Pretty cool way to spend $100+.

Fuel Prices
We have broken the $4.00 ceiling in California. $4.45 in Oakland, $4.47 in Salinas $5.00 in Stockton. Kaiser Air in Oakland had to reprogram their self serve pumps to accept prices above $4.00.
A friend of mine who owns a Husky, said he just filled his in Eau Claire, Wisconsin (about 80 miles east of the Twin Cities) and he paid $3.79 including a .20 cent discount for using his Phillips card. So it would be $3.99 for the rest of us, I guess. Auto fuel is running around $2.79 per gallon. I expect it will come down some more yet (Thank you EAA for the auto fuel STC!!).
On another subject, I've been in contact with EAA regarding the mandatory mixing of 10% ethanol with auto fuel in Wisconsin. Finally, got an answer and it appears the way the law is written, we will have a mandatory 10% ethanol requirement in all fuel except "premium" 91 octane. One pump will be allowed to be set aside for unleaded premium. Fuel to be used for vinatage cars, lawn mowers, my old "H" Farmall (ha), boats, aircraft with STC, etc. Whether the gas stations will actually carry it is probably open to question. Also, marinas and airports will be allowed to sell unleaded 91. Eau Claire hasn't carried auto fuel for years and by the time they get done marking it up, it would probably get to the price of 100 LL. So I don't see much help there. If you're in a state where this is being proposed, it's worth watching. Apparently, EAA is on top of the issue, but they should probably be contacted (in case of a local proposal) so the STC doesn't become completly worthless.
I don't have a problem with ethanol, but I hate to see us lose the usefulness of our STC's. I use ethanol in my pickup. In fact, I can use 85% in it as I have a "flex fuel" engine. Haven't tried it yet, though.

100LL in Paynesville (2P3), Minnesota is $2.95 but, it's a city-owned pump. It's also self-serve only; unattended field.
I hangar my Champ at Litchfield (LJF) , which is also unattended and city-owned. Gas there on Monday was $3.21 per gallon.
On Sunday, the 11th, I bought gas at New ULM (ULM) for $3.78 per.
Willmar, MN (ILL) is at something like $3.65 with a 20 cent discount if you have fuel card (monthly billing).
