1946 Champ 7CCM for sale.115HP lycoming. Newest champ you'll find . Fusalage stripped primed and painted, new wood and fabric winter 2006.
New spars 04, wings redone (insurance job due to hail damage) winter 2009. New carb + heat box, new mags & wiring harness, New struts spring 08
Edo 1400's floats, wheels and ski's.
When I bougth this aircraft I was proud to finally own my own (Yippy-no more renting),Reason I chose this champ first was price, I thought low cost plane and i would slowly rebuild it. Well I found out that there's no such thing as slowly then some how I was consumed in making it brand new thus I changed everything. The only thing I haven't done yet was to build a float plane door.
Reason for selling , well I'm a big guy and must get up to 2000 floats and also looking for alittle more leg room and payload. This aircraft has never let me down on the water even on hot days with a good load. My passion is floats flying in eastern quebec and flying into remote lakes to fish.
Check out a U-tube clip a friend made for me.

Picture's available . Anyone looking to trade down I have many hours on a Citabria.

I know of someone that is looking....what is your asking price?
Also, are you looking for a Citabria? Or an I misunderstanding your last sentence.
I have nearly the same set up as your plane and it is a great little plane. I will state that the owners of 7GCBC I have spoken to, I have a better useful load capability then they do. My Champ is a 7AC-CONV with the O-235 on PK 1500's and my useful is a little over 400 lbs. if I remember correctly.

My plane is the same , good useful load. I know the Citabria may have the same but like I said, I would
like the bigger floats because some of the lakes I go don't have boats.
So I fish from the floats. I'm 240 so,I have to take care or I fly home with wet feet plus if you have a passenger.
Just flying around or flying up to the moose camp the floats are perfect.
This champ is a joy to fly as you would know with the upgrade to O-235. I've never tried the ski's yet though.
I have my eye on a Piper PA -12??
I know my wife doesn't want me to sell as I've just completed this one, so I not spending the whole winter in the shop.
Not sure if this is what I want to do but Have the fellow e-mail me and we could chat. I will send more pictures and lots from the rebuild as well.
What province in Canada is MN below?

LOL on the Providence question. I'm within 100 miles of the border of socialism.
JK!!!
I will have to find the guys info. He is posting on another site looking for a Super Cruiser, experimental, or basically anything he could put on floats. I don't personally know the guy but seems to have money burning a hole in his pocket per se. He is in eastern Canada.
I sent him a PM asking for his email. If he responds I will forward it to you.
I recently flew in a PA-12 and to be honset I would much rather have my Champ. This was a PA-12 with the stock O-235 and I am sure one with the O-320 would be a much better plane.

The PA-12 I'm looking at has a 150 hp with 2000 floats.
Should get a bit better performance.

Paul,
You are right, the '12 with a 150HP is a good performer. That is the ONLY way I would buy a PA-12.
Did the guy that I forwarded his email ever show an interest in your plane? I haven't heard anything and was just curious.

What you really need is a Sedan with the o-360 engine, has never failed to get me off the water, even with big loads and high density altitude! I have it one EDo 2000 floats. Have been up to the Kipawa area many times.

No the guy didn't email me back yet.
Next time in Kipawa pop by. Where are you going up here?
I own Kipawa Outpost Houseboat Rentals. My plane makes service calls alot easier now.
